Noble firs tend to have a more open, layered look.   In order to achieve this more open look we do not shear our trees, instead, each tree is clipped by hand.   We often leave a large number of trees unclipped at harvest for those who prefer a more natural tree.  If you find the perfect tree but need a couple branches clipped off, we are glad to do that for you.  Nobles are the longest lasting Christmas Tree.  With proper watering they may last past New Year's.  Nobles have the scent that most people think of when they think about "Christmas Tree" smell.

Grands In our opinion the most fragrant of the trees with an almost
citrusy/evergreen smell to them.  Some people think that the fragrance from this tree is too strong, they can smell up your entire house. Grands are sheared every year to keep a tighter profile.   For the harvest year, we try to clip the trees by hand to keep some of the longer branches, giving it a more natural appearance.   We would suggest that you wait until later in the season to get a Grand.  Grand Firs have a tendency to dry out quicker than Doug or Noble Firs.  

Dougs are our economy tree, they are sheared every year with a knife to keep a common profile.  Dougs tend to have be narrower and because they are  sheared have a bushy appearance.  Ornaments will lay more on the top of rather than hang inside the tree.  Doug Fir  have a fresh clean, slightly sweet fragrance to them.

Natural Nobles!!!  If you are looking for a natural noble we have a good selection this year.  Most range from 4– 7’ but we do have several that are up to 11’.  These trees are very open, but have great color.

Flocking

Light————$3.00 per foot    Resembles a heavy frost on the tree.  Dries in less than an hour 

Medium ——$4.00 per foot    Resembles a light snowfall on the tree.  Takes 2 hours to dry                                                         

Heavy ———$5.00 per foot    Resembles a heavier snowfall on the tree.   Can take 3+ hours to dry         

Extra Sparkle —$.50 per foot  Mica is included with flocking, to have an extra sparkly tree is extra.  Opalina—  Iridescent flakes that reflect light in the rainbow of color depending how the light hits the tree.    Mica—Chunks of sparkle, can be mixed with flocking    Glitter—Sprinkled on the tree for a really sparkly effect, comes in white, silver, gold, blue, red, green or multi.

We will have samples available to see  what the flock looks like.  We will also have a few pre flocked trees available for purchase.
