Farm Stats

A Little bit about us;

Snowline Tree Farm started as a small family Christmas tree farm in 1980 by the Greif family.  We are currently working on training the third generation of Greifs to someday take over.  We have been exclusively  growing Christmas trees & timber but in the last couple of years have began the work on expanding the farm to include vegetables, chickens and in the near future beef and pork.  Our goal is to create a diversified family farm that not only allows us to live a life we love but to be able to share some of that life with others.

We grow Doug Fir, Grand Fir and Noble Fir Christmas Trees.  We  harvest a limited amount of trees that are sold wholesale and shipped to Chico, CA and Tucson, AZ.  Out of the 30 acres in production approximately  2,000 trees are sold wholesale.   The rest of the trees are open to U-cuts from the week before Thanksgiving until a couple days before Christmas.    In addition to trees we also sell fresh handcrafted wreaths, garland, swags and Yule logs.  These are all made daily on the farm from boughs that are harvest in our fields and woods (with a few exceptions).  Hot beverages & cookies are available as well as craft project for kids to make and take home.   We have a covered area for you to get out of the weather and enjoy a warm fire and sip your cocoa or explore our gift corner.

In the summer time we switch to vegetable production through a CSA (community supported agriculture) subscription service.  We are open for farm tours in conjunction with the “Molalla Country Farm Loop”.  We  have produce available for sale at the farm for our visitors.  We offer a hay ride, nature trail, picnic areas and a summer craft project.  In the fall we have a small pumpkin patch for those people who would like to come out & pick from some of the strange varieties of pumpkins that we have found to grow.   The hay ride will still be going and the craft project will switch to one with a fall theme.

We soon hope to be able to offer shares of farm raised pork, beef & rabbit.  These can be in conjunction with a CSA subscription or they can stand alone.    A couple of times a year we will have farm turkeys, chickens & ducks available.  Our meat is all raised naturally here on the farm & processed by a local company.  You will find our poultry differs from the normal poultry you buy at the store as we only raise breeds that have dual purposes (eggs & meat) and are not specifically meat birds.   They are allowed to graze naturally in the fields and only given grain as a supplement to their diet.

We love our style of life and hope to be able to share with you this beautiful place that we have been blessed with.  Our farm is not one with lots of entertainment for the masses, but if you would like to take a day to relax, wander through the woods and just enjoy this creation that the Lord has made then we might have the place for you.
